Geochemistry and Economic Geology Laboratory (Nozaki Laboratory) is researching on metallogenesis and paleo-environmental changes from the aspects of economic geology and geochmistry. We mainly focus on seafloor mineral resources (seafloor hydrothermal deposit, ferromanganese nodule, ferromanganese crust and rare earth-rich mud) and their natural analogues on land (volcanogenic massive sulfide, umber and stratiform manganese deposits), as well as epithermal gold deposit. Studying on the metallogenesis is a basic research, but we can contribute to developments of more efficient exploration, processing and refining methods. Through the better understanding of metallogenesis and paleo-environmental changes, we are aiming to contribute sustainable resource usage and unraveling the global environmental changes.
Our research is based on the field investigation, research cruise, petrographic and mineralogical observations and geochemical analysis. We are highly welcome to passionate students and researchers who want to enter graduate school or work in academia!!
野崎研究室 (資源地球化学研究室) では，鉱床学および地球化学的観点から鉱床成因や過去の地球環境変動を解読する研究を行っています．特に，海底鉱物資源 (海底熱水鉱床，マンガン団塊，マンガンクラスト，レアアース泥) とその陸上アナログ (火山性塊状硫化物鉱床，アンバー鉱床，層状マンガン鉱床) や浅熱水性金鉱床を主な研究対象としています．鉱床の成因解明は基礎科学的研究ですが，効率的な探査指針の策定，選鉱・製錬などに役立ちます．鉱床成因や物質循環プロセスの解明を通じて，持続可能な資源利用と地球環境理解への貢献を目指します．
本研究室では，野外調査，調査航海，顕微鏡観察などの記載，化学分析などを組み合わせた学際的なアプローチによる研究を推進しています．将来大学院に進みたい，研究者になりたいというアツイ思いを持った学生・研究者の皆様をお待ちしています！
