2026年3月、野崎研究室のメンバーは北九州地域の金鉱床を対象とした巡検を実施しました。
本巡検の目的は、熱水鉱化作用を実際の露頭において観察し、鉱床形成プロセスに対する理解を深めることです。
巡検では複数の金鉱床地点を訪れ、地質構造、変質帯、および熱水活動に伴う鉱物組合せについて観察を行いました。特に、鉱脈の発達様式と母岩との関係に注目しました。
また、選定した露頭において代表的な試料の採取を行いました。これらの試料は、今後、岩石学的観察および地球化学分析に用いる予定です。
本巡検を通じて、野崎研究室のメンバーは金鉱床の形成過程に関する理解を深めるとともに、地質観察および試料採取に関する実践的技能を習得しました。
In March 2026, members of the Nozaki Lab participated in a field excursion to the gold deposits of northern Kyushu, Japan.
The purpose of this field trip was to observe hydrothermal mineralization in natural settings and to deepen understanding of ore-forming processes through direct field experience.
During the excursion, members visited several gold-bearing sites, where they examined geological structures, alteration zones, and mineral assemblages associated with hydrothermal activity. Particular attention was given to vein systems and their relationships with host rocks.
Members also collected representative samples from selected outcrops. These samples will be used for further laboratory analyses, including petrographic observation and geochemical characterization.
Through this field experience, members of the Nozaki Lab gained valuable insights into the formation of gold deposits and developed practical skills in geological observation and sampling.
