A new paper by Tomoaki Koya and co-authors, titled “New insights into the formation of sediment-hosted volcanogenic massive sulfide deposits by quadruple sulfur and multiple strontium isotopes,” was published in Geochimica et Cosmochimica Acta on August 18, 2026.
The study investigates Kuroko-type volcanogenic massive sulfide (VMS) deposits in Japan using sulfur and strontium isotope analyses to better understand the role of sedimentary organic matter in ore formation.
